The Magician

Today - 7.30pm, Teynampet Signal - Traffic Jam!

He held her hands with tears trickling down his cheeks. Wishing he had been a magician now. Praying at least the magician arrives in time to save his sweetheart!

2 years before, Marina beach

Dumbo, did it take 3 long years for you to tell me this? Do you know i have been longing for this moment for past three years! Confessed Sandhya holding Sandeep's hand with tears of joy rolling down her pink cheek. Sandhya couldn't stop smiling ever since Sandeep proposed to her this evening.

5 years back, College farewell

Sandhya and Sandeep were good friends at college and were their department heads as well as cultural committee reps of their department. They were excellent singers and used to represent their college during the inter college meets. This day was their last day at college. They shared the award for the best cultural heads and hence were allotted adjacent seats. The program for the evening had a magic show and Sandhya was so excited about it. One of the item in the show was that the magician cuts a small girl into 5 pieces and placed each piece in different boxes and in a swipe of his wand the girl comes back alive from the audience. Sandhya was so excited and tensed that she held Sandeeps hand so tightly. His eyes got locked at her :-)

Today - 7.50pm - Apollo Hospitals

Congrats Mr.Sandeep. Your bundle of joy has arrived! She looks like a little angel from the heaven. And your angel is right inside waiting there for you!

P.S. Dedicated to my colleague who was blessed with a beautiful baby girl yesterday!

All work and no play makes Jill a dull girl :-(

The month that went by was the most hectic and tiresome time I had ever had or may be rather felt. Folks might laugh if I say “I am Busy” and “I am at Office”. Yes! My previous job was like a mother’s womb comfort place. I did have lots of work, but then never ever had even once in two long years ever felt a little pinch of pressure or the tiredness of working. Folks who know me personally can definitely vouch for the way my office used to be. I could rather say that I didn’t miss my college days as my first work place was more of a college kind. The floor always used to be filled with fun. There was never a day without we guys partying around. Some occasion or the other would be there and the place used to be all decorated and full of colors!

Well I don’t mean to complain about my present job, but yeah apart from the work profile of mine nothing else is really “Interesting” in this place. No attachment with people, no friends, not a soul to really care for. We were a family at the former. Miss my friends and the environment badly. Now what is that is making me crib? Yeah, I started realizing that I have lost touch with my friends. I become pre-occupied with my work and by the time I get back home, I feel like a beaten dog ready to hit the sack. I hardly find time even to speak with my relatives and friends. Worst thing :-( I even forgot to wish my friend’s wife on her Birthday that was on June 28th. Please forgive me Imsa. Belated Birthday wishes to you!

Makkale, I know not many would really be bothered or worried if I am alive or dead, not be bothered to call me or mail me and I doubt even if you had noticed me missing for quite sometime now. But for the rest of the souls who really care for me. Here I am - really busy with hectic work (I know u evil morons! Now don’t tell me please at least work for once now :-P). I would get back to haunt you all as soon as I find some time!!!
Till then take good care of your selves and be a good boy / good girl!

A precision instrument of speed and aerodynamics! ;-)

I was blessed to have a glimpse of the Majestic Suzuki SX4 today morning. Man! What a Car. I enjoy admiring the Cars. It’s kind of a hobby for me to watch the cars while driving.
SX4 is a joint manufacture of Suzuki and Fiat. Speaking about Fiat reminds me of Fiat Uno. Long since I saw any of that make on roads. It was a pretty decent model, a diesel make with good fuel efficiency. I also saw Chevrolet Spark today near my office. It looks okay but not that great.

Other models that I feel are good are Hyundai Santro, the Xing version looks only okay types compared to the original Santro. Honda City looks far better than Honda Civic. I was crazy about Maruti Swift sometime back, but now-a-days it doesn’t attract me that much. Ford Ikon is also a very nice and decent model.

One awful looking car is Hyundai Sonata. I simply hate to see that vehicle and some how feel it occupies major part of the road and obstructs others.

My dream cars on list are Citroen (a French make aircraft running in the name of Car!), Chevrolet (My brother owns one :-) ) and Skoda Octavia. I feel Octavia is far better than Skoda Superb. The other favorite makes are Audi and Lexus. To travel in Benz was kind of a dream, but lost the thrill when I did travel in a Benz Taxi! A luxury car in India is just an ordinary taxi in abroad.

A dream yet to come true is to go on a long drive in any of these cars above on a rainy afternoon with pleasant music on the player :-) Hope it comes true soon ;-)
