Iduvum Kadandhu pogum :)

Change is the only constant!

There is nothing in the whole world which is permanent.Everything flows onward;
all things are brought into being with a changing nature;
the ages themselves glide by in constant movement.Ovid (Publius Ovidius Naso)

@Revathi.. there are many versions for this story.. but i remember only this! Here it goes -

Once there was a King who was very kind and a great ruler, but he had some problem and was in his death bed. So he called his son who was still very young and was not ready to handle a Kingdom. He said take care of this country and saying that handed over 2 chits to him and instructed him to open it only in case of his acute misery or extreme happiness.

Then one day when the prince was suddenly attacked by enemies he didnt know what to do.Suddenly he remembered his dads instructions.. then when he opened the chit it read "Iduvum Kadandhu pogum". Then he managed to win in the war with the help of some of his friends and neighbouring kings.

adhe mari something will happen when he will be very very happy. He will open the second chit and will read "Iduvum kadandhu pogum"..

Then he will realise that life is full of ups and downs and learn to have a balanced mind when anything happens. He would never get worried or bothered if something bad happens and never be carried away or excited if some good thing happens.

Idu dhan moral of the story! :-D
